Bryce Valley Elementary consisted of a single-story 32,649 square foot, new elementary school for Garfield School District.
Ensign was in charge of the civil and structural engineering for this project. The building consists of primarily steel framed roof structure, masonry walls, and continuous spread footings at the bearing walls. The lateral system consisted primarily masonry shear walls. The civil design incorporated a site drainage plan, storm drain pipe, modifications to the existing water and sewer system, curb & gutter, parking and drive areas, site amenities, etc.
