Ensign Engineering performed an HD Scanning survey and production of a Revit model for the LDS Temple in Manti, Utah for proposed upgrades and retrofit for seismic concerns. The Temple is approx. 110,00 square feet, including 5 separate floors and a basement. Limited access to the site required Ensign to be creative in obtaining the necessary scans.
Permission to access the site was extremely limited and Ensign used multiple scanning crews simultaneously to cover the entire survey area in the available work windows. The project required 2000 high definition scans, which were processed into a point cloud. Ensign produced both an Architectural/Structural Revit model and a Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Revit model from the scanned point cloud data.
